French

More than 220 million people speak French on all the five continents. French is a major language of international communication. It is the second most widely learned language after English and the sixth most widely spoken language in the world. French is also the second most widely taught language after English, and is taught on every continent.

French is a Romance language spoken as a first language in France, French-speaking Switzerland, Wallonia and Brussels in Belgium, Monaco, and the regions of Quebec and Acadia in Canada, as well as minorities elsewhere.

Europe

Europe accounts for 39.87% of the French-speaking population. French is one of the three procedural languages of the European Union, along with English and German, and the sole language used for the deliberations of the Court of Justice of the European Union.

Canada

French is the mother tongue of about seven million Canadians (22.3% of the Canadian population, second to English at 58.4%).Most native French speakers in Canada live in Quebec, where French is the majority and sole official language. About 80% of Quebec’s population are native francophones, and 95% of the population speak French as their first or second language.

DELF/DALF DELF (Diplôme d’Études en Langue Française) and DALF (Diplôme Approfondi de Langue Française) are official qualifications issued by the French Ministry of Education to certify French language proficiency of foreign students.

We offer a series of coarse level of French Language :

Beginner – A1:

This level recognizes basic knowledge. It is the most basic level at which a language is used, called the “discovery” stage. At this stage, the learner can interact in a simple way: he/she can speak about him/herself and his/her immediate environment.

Elementary -A2:

This level is based on the same principle: it recognizes the linguistic competency of a basic user, considered as a social actor. The candidate can communicate in simple and routine tasks requiring the most common polite phrases and exchanges of information.

Intermediate -B1:

At this level, the user becomes independent. He/she can maintain interaction: he/she can understand and maintain a discussion and give his/her opinion. He/she is capable of dealing with situations likely to arise in daily life.

Upper Intermediate- B2:

A B2 user has a degree of independence that allows him/her to construct arguments to defend his/her opinion, explain his/her viewpoint and negotiate. At this level, the candidate has a degree of fluency and spontaneity in regular interactions and is capable of correcting his/her own mistakes.

At each level, 4 skills are evaluated: listening, speaking, reading and writing. A mark of at least 5/25 is required for each test (Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking) whereas a mark of at least 50/100 is required in order to be awarded the diploma.

Advanced- DALF C1:

At this level, user can express themselves fluently. They can produce clear, well-structured discourse without hesitation and which shows controlled us of structures. They have large vocabulary and can choose the appropriate expression to introduce their comments.

Master or Proficient- DALF C2: User are capable of using the language for academic and advanced level purposes. At this level, user’s proficiency in the language is illustrated by precision, appropriateness and fluency of expression.
